           Present Perfect Continuous Tense

If a task is continue for a longer period of time then we use present perfect continuous tense. We use this tense to tell about a particular task that we are doing for a long time. Today we'll learn the rules to frame this sentence. Some important rules are following :

1. We add 'ing' in verb's Ist form.

2. Helping verb 'Hasbeen' is used for singular subjects and 'Havebeen' is used for plural subjects.

To frame affirmative sentence follow this formula : 

subject + has/have + been + verb's Ist form + ing + object + since/for + time.

1. Raju hasbeen playing football in the field for two hours.
2. I havebeen writing a novel since January.

To frame negative sentence follow this formula :

subject + has/have + not + been + verb's Ist form + ing + object + since/for + time.

1. You havebeen taking rest for two days at your home.
2. They havebeen making a noise in the class since morning.

Interrogative sentence has two types that are following :

Yes/No - Type : Has/Have + subject + not + been + verb's Ist form + ing + object + since/for + time ?

1. Has Roshini not been watching television for two hours ?
2. Have we been sleeping here since four 'o' clock ?

Q.W./Wh - Type : Q.W. + has/have + subject + not + been + verb's Ist form + ing + object + since/for + time ?

1. Why have you not been doing your homework for five days ?
2. What have they been learning in this school since July ?

So these are all the important rules and structures to frame present perfect continuous tense.
